We have been encouraged this year by a stable and fruitful year on many fronts. Bible School was blessed with full enrolment and a group of students who experienced significant spiritual growth. The summer season was full with camps and retreats, served by a remarkably unified and motivated summer staff. Several longer-term staff positions were filled with a new generation of missionaries who bring new ideas and enthusiasm.

One illustration of God’s blessing was the long-awaited visit by Puschel, one of our former volunteer staff members from Germany, who has been battling a very rare and serious form of bone cancer. Puschel was well enough to make the trip to Holsby during the summer and will be returning next summer to speak at our youth camp and share her testimony of faith in Christ in the midst of pain and suffering.

We have been challenged by a time of personnel transition with several longer-term families moving on to new ministry assignments in Germany and the United States. Several key positions will need to be filled (Principal, Maintenance Director, Sports/Outreach Coordinator). Meanwhile, the remaining staff members have taken on added responsibility and the work is getting done with enthusiasm and good teamwork.

Please pray for us concerning our desire to see more Swedish students enroll in Bible School. Getting the word out about the opportunity to study God’s Word and grow in an environment of Christian community is a priority. We need wisdom as to how best to present the idea of a year at Bible School to young people in Europe and North America.
