The picturesque setting of Schloss KlausSchloss Klaus building complex
This year, we have been encouraged by God’s provision in many ways. For our main building project we received funds and skilled helpers at the right time. When the major part of the project was finished, we suddenly didn’t get any more helpers!

At the same time, many guests came to our camps and conferences, many of them hearing the Gospel for the first time in their lives. Regularly, we have the privilege of seeing people come to know our Lord Jesus and are so thankful for God’s work here in Austria.

One illustration of God’s blessing was how our kitchen team functioned during several weeks of transition in the spring. After our cook left and before we found a new kitchen manager, there was a gap of several weeks with a lot of guests and hardly any qualified kitchen personnel. Staff from different teams were ready to jump in and help out regularly so that our guests didn’t even notice that we had a kitchen staff shortage. And finally, just in time for our summer program we found a new kitchen manager.

We have been challenged by a new situation in our Bible School. Daniel Schulte who had been on staff with Schloss Klaus for eleven years and Bible School Principal for nine years, decided this fall that he will leave Schloss Klaus by next year. Also our Dean of Students will leave next summer because she will get married. So there were a lot of discussions and thoughts on how to continue Bible School until we decided together with our Board on a new Bible School team – and we think it will be great!

Please pray for us concerning these major personnel changes, that the transition will go smoothly. Also pray for our ongoing building projects as we are in need of funds and helpers. But our main prayer request is that we as staff stay close to Jesus in each and every moment of our lives, and that our ministry will always remain Christ centered.
