One illustration of God's blessing was the very mixed group of volunteers who participated in the ministry we have throughout the year. Beyond Bible students who remain to assist the programs, we welcome about 150 from a variety of countries who apply for a matter of weeks or a year. We are blessed by their youthful enthusiasm, their willingness to invest lives and by the potential they are for the future. The world comes to us and we praise the Lord for a part we can play in the lives of these young people who will go on to be a means of blessing to others.

We have been challenged by various circumstances and situations faced this year that have directed us to pray in dependence upon the Lord. We long that this old mansion continue to be an effective means of sharing Christ in a very difficult world. We have always sought to maintain and improve the facilities and for some years now have considered the right way to improve the conference hall facility - restore or rebuild? What do we do? We believe we should take the steps to rebuild. The world's economy does not encourage that but the Lord must want us to trust him!

Please pray for us concerning the future for it is vital that we have the right people in the right positions at the right time. We look for the Lord’s insight into developing and strengthening the team so that we not only maintain the ministry here at Capernwray but see it enlarged and have an ever-increasing impact. We want to attract more British students to Bible School.

Please pray that we will have the wisdom and right approach to more effectively communicate the benefit of taking a year to build their relationship with God, be established in His Word and better able to serve Christ in their communities.
